Technical Research Committee Meeting
The Technical Research Committee (TRC) discusses technical research and innovation; as well as codes, standards and regulations affecting how homes are constructed. Members of the TRC are expected to attend, and provincial EOs are strongly encouraged to attend. All other CHBA members and HBA staff with an interest in housing technology are welcome to attend.

1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Modular Construction Council Meeting
The Modular Construction Council supports the increasing role of factory-built modular construction in the building industry. Members of Modular Construction Council are expected to attend, and provincial EOs are strongly encouraged to attend. All other CHBA members and HBA staff with an interest in factory-based construction, productivity improvement and innovation are welcome to attend.

5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Executive Officers' Council (open only to Executive Officers and HBA staff)
The EOC is a resource for supporting the professional development of Association staff and provides advice to the Board of Directors on issues of importance. Senior staff members from local, provincial and national levels of the Association are expected to attend, and other HBA staff are welcome.

Canadian Renovators' Council Meeting
The Canadian Renovators’ Council (CRC) addresses the professional interests of renovators and issues impacting their businesses. Members of the CRC are expected to attend, and provincial EOs are strongly encouraged to attend. Any other CHBA member and HBA staff who has an interest in CRC is welcome to attend.

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  
Urban Council Meeting
The Urban Council is focused on issues that affect how Canadian communities grow and develop, including municipal infrastructure investments, new home taxes, fees, levies and charges, and development regulations. Members of the Urban Council are expected to attend, and provincial EOs are strongly encouraged to attend. Any other CHBA member and HBA staff who has an interest in the Urban Council is welcome to attend.

12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. 
Luncheon

2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
CHBA Board of Directors and Annual Meeting of Members
Responsible for the overall governance of the Association, the Board meets to set key policies and direction at the national level. Along with electing directors to serve on the Executive Committee and the national Board of Directors, one of the main jobs of the Annual Meeting of Members is to decide on resolutions. Members of the Board and provincial EOs are expected to attend. All other CHBA members and HBA staff are encouraged to attend.

Wednesday Evening Reception (start of conference programming)
The Wednesday Evening Reception provides a warm welcome to Saint John and a most memorable evening of regional food and drink, unique local features, and an incredible networking opportunity with great CHBA company and industry colleagues.

Breakfast & Opening Plenary with Peter Katz
Peter Katz, a Juno Award- and Canadian Screen Award-nominated singer-songwriter, has been hailed as "a thunderbolt for the soul" by many of his fans and speaking clients. His “conversational choreographies” are designed with the purpose of encouraging employees to harness a renewed energy to the importance of their work that ties more deeply to their own values. He frames much of his keynotes around his devotion to service, using it as a springboard to convey an underlying message that trusting in process will lead to amazing outcomes.

Jam Session
Join us in the HUB for a casual Jam Session. If you play an instrument, feel free to bring it and jam along! If you're not musically gifted, enjoy the ambiance with a beverage and opportunity to chat with your fellow members.

Association Leadership Awards with Duncan Wardle
As Head of Innovation and Creativity at Disney, Duncan Wardle and his team helped Imagineering, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar, and Disney Parks innovate and create magical new storylines and experiences for consumers around the globe. Today, he is on a mission to embed a culture of innovation into every company’s DNA.

Following Duncan's keynote address, this year's recipients of CHBA's Association Leadership Awards will be honoured during an awards ceremony. These awards recognize the outstanding work of dedicated volunteer members, as well as the leadership shown by our local and provincial HBAs and their EOs.

Saint John Tour
Experience the highlights of Canada’s oldest incorporated city while exploring a delightful blend of the past and present. Visit the Reversing Falls Rapids, the Irving Nature Park with a beach walk on the shoreline of the Bay of Fundy, a drive through Rockwood Park with photo op, a view of the port of Saint John from the Fort Howe lookout and a stop at the Old City Market to browse Maritime crafts and items hand-made by the City Market's own resident artists. Please note that this optional itinerary item has a cost of $70 per person.
